Give More 24, the annual online fundraiser for dozens of organizations throughout Southwest Washington is Thursday, and North County Community Food Bank is excited to announce that its supporters are committed to matching up to $70,500 in donations
The North County Community Food Bank is one of dozens of organizations participating in this year’s Give More 24 event.
Give More 24 is a 24-hour marathon of community giving and philanthropy, with activities set to take place throughout Southwest Washington. People can donate to their favorite causes while also meeting up with one another with plenty of adventures. There are more than 180 organizations raising funds this year through the program.
Technically, Give More 24 is Thursday, Sept. 25, but early donations are being accepted right now.
At the North County Community Food Bank, there will be Goat Yoga on Thursday. Yes, people, and goats, get together for some yoga. Goat Yoga will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at Central Park, 414 E. Main Street in Battle Ground.
The NCCFB will also have a Care A Van team at the food bank, 17 NE 3rd Avenue in Battle Ground. The team will provide a variety of free health related services including: blood pressure screenings, vision screenings, blood glucose screenings, A1C testing, BMI, and more.
Give More 24 is North County Community Food Bank’s largest fundraiser of the year.
“We have never needed the community’s help more,” said Liz Cerveny, executive director.

Give More 24 is coordinated by Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. The 24-hour fundraising event helps local nonprofits leverage the amazing power of matching funds, hourly prizes, and supportive donors while building community excitement that attracts new donors, new volunteers.
The food bank has supporters who will match up to $70,500 for this year’s Give More 24. That comes from supporters such as the Community Foundation of SW Washington, the LR Mitchner Philanthropic Fund, the Lewis River Rotary, and other private donors. The goal is to raise more than $100,000 with the community’s help.
