VANCOUVER — At approximately 4:06 a.m. on Monday (Aug. 10), the Vancouver Fire Department received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting several vehicles on fire at the Alan Webb Chevrolet dealership.
Vancouver Fire Department units BC1, Truck 5, Engine 5, and Squad 5 were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found multiple vehicles actively burning in the dealership parking lot.
Firefighters quickly established a water supply and used hose lines to bring the fire under control and extinguish remaining hot spots.
A total of 12 vehicles sustained varying levels of fire damage. No injuries were reported. The total financial loss is unknown at this point.
“Vehicle fires can spread very quickly, especially when multiple cars are parked close together,” said Vancouver Fire Department Public Information Officer Anthony West. “Crews from station 5 worked quickly to contain the fire and prevent further damage throughout the lot.”
The Vancouver Fire Marshal’s Office responded to the scene, along with the Vancouver Police Department’s Arson Unit, to assist with the investigation. This incident remains under active investigation.
