Did you know we have a County Charter? It’s our County’s Constitution.
Every five years we elect a new committee to review the Charter to improve or amend it. The people who we elect to sit at that review table is a big deal. We want review commissioners who put us first when drafting an updated Charter.
That is why I support Janna Meyer. I’ll let Janna tell you in her own words

“A paramount duty of county governance is ensuring the safety of its citizens. Therefore, I support an amendment that would prioritize public safety during the annual budget process. This would ensure that the county Sheriff’s office is adequately staffed, trained and equipped to maintain peace and uphold the rule of law.
“To ensure that county governance is being good stewards with our tax dollars, I support amendments that require a balanced budget, and a supermajority vote of county council members to pass tax increases.
“Another paramount duty of county governance is to ensure the safe and efficient movement of its people, goods, and services. To fulfill this obligation in the most cost effective and responsible manner, I support a charter amendment that would recognize public mobility and transportation infrastructure as a core function of county government, that is achieved through non-toll revenue sources, including local, state, and federal funds.” – Janna Meyer
Janna has two master’s degrees and a corporate background in governance, policy/process analysis and project/program management that she will bring to that table.
