The King’s Way Christian Schools campus held one assembly for its younger students and another for the older students Friday, in recognition of next week’s Veterans Day
King’s Way Christian Schools hosted two Veterans Day assemblies on Friday, one for elementary school students and another for middle and high school students.
Dozens of veterans were in attendance, many of them sitting with their children or grandchildren. A history of Veterans Day was shared by the drama classes.
The fifth-grade choir and Knights Sounds high school choir also performed, while the high school band played a medley of the songs of the armed forces.
Schools across Clark County have been holding ceremonies this week or are scheduled to next week.
Schools are often closed on Veterans Day, so assemblies honoring the veterans are held on other days.
