Community art lovers are invited to an upscale monthly artist reception on Friday, July 11, held one week later than usual due to last week’s Fourth of July holiday. This elegant evening offers a perfect opportunity to cool off in air-conditioned comfort while enjoying the vibrant energy of the Camas art scene. Inside, guests are welcomed into a sophisticated setting filled with exquisite works of fine art in a variety of mediums, from bold contemporary paintings, pen and ink, classic oils, brilliant fused glass and clay works.
The July artist reception will feature newly original art with an opportunity to meet 13 talented local artists. Visitors can engage in conversations with the creators behind the work, gaining insight into their inspirations, techniques, and artistic journeys. On First Friday, Aug. 1, RedDoor Gallery is unveiling a brand new exhibit of exquisite clay works by artist Diane Gale, founder of Clayfires. She creates beautiful, functional pottery that reflects both simplicity and balance. She often wood-fires her pieces, allowing ash to melt into the clay – producing unique patterns and carbon trapping that tell the story of each kiln and firing cycle. Diane’s pottery blends function, form and storytelling. Be the first to see this stunning new exhibit at RedDoor Gallery on Aug. 1.
