Jesus-centered theater arts program to present musical with several performances beginning May 19
A musical inspired by a Hans Christian Andersen story that won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2000 is coming to Vancouver via Journey Theater.
Described as a heartwarming celebration of what makes us special, Honk! has flown around the world with more than 8,000 productions in many different languages since the 1990s.
Journey Theater, a Jesus-centered nonprofit theater arts program, is producing Honk!, with performances scheduled for May 19-20 and May 26-27, as well as school-day performances on May 25. The shows will be at First Presbyterian Church, 4300 Main Street, Vancouver.
Tickets are on sale at https://journeytheater.org/ or by calling 360-750-8550. Adult tickets are $17. Youth and senior tickets are $14. Tickets cost $2 more at the door.
The Friday shows (May 19 and 26) will begin at 7 p.m. The Saturday shows ((May 20, 27) are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Honk! is based on the classic story of The Ugly Duckling.
