VANCOUVER – After a national search, Clark County native Jordan Boldt has been selected as president of Columbia Economic Development Council, board chair Alan Hwang announced today.
“We are very excited to share the great news that Jordan will be joining the CREDC team as its leader,” Hwang said. “At the end of our search process, he simply stood out as an outstanding candidate with impeccable organizational leadership credentials and a solid track record of success at the Vancouver Farmers Market and each of his previous career stops.”
Boldt has been executive director of the Vancouver Farmers Market since March 2010.
“I was drawn to CREDC’s strategic framework focused on business growth, people, and place,” Boldt said. “In my work at the Farmers Market, I have operated at an intersection of understanding that sustainable economic development requires not just attracting businesses, but creating new opportunities, developing a strong workforce, and building communities where people want to live and work.”
Highlights of Boldt’s career include transforming the Farmers Market from a struggling grassroots organization into an economic development partner across the region, leading comprehensive restructuring of the organization that included strategic planning, financial stabilization and growth. The Farmers Market also became a key player in community development, food security and empowered entrepreneurship.
Boldt also has significant exposure to economic development and workforce partnerships across the community, having served on boards and committees including with the City of Vancouver. He’s also built and maintained solid engagements with public and private sector partners.
Prior to taking the lead at the Farmers Market, Boldt worked in business development in the private sector. He also worked in economic and community development at the City of Washougal.
“Vancouver – and Clark County – have always been my home,” Boldt said. “I grew up here. I’ve worked here, and I couldn’t be more excited about taking this next step in my career.”
The search committee and board of directors are also excited about Boldt joining CREDC.
“The Farmers Market, under Jordan’s leadership has become a force in the region; one that other communities reach proactively reach out to,” Hwang said. “Through our due diligence, this was a constant message that we were happy to learn, and we look forward to him bringing to the CREDC team.”
Boldt will begin work at CREDC on March 2, 2026.
