Athletes competed in state gymnastics and state swimming, with several from Clark County placing
The Ridgefield Spudders are celebrating a state champion gymnast this week.
Lexi Voukidis scored a 9.225 on the uneven bars to claim the Class 3A/2A state championship Saturday at Sammamish High School.
She was the lone champion from Clark County this year at state gymnastics.
Teammate Evie Dreiling tied for third on the floor exercise.
In the Class 4A meet, Gabriella Howard of Union finished second on the vault, with teammate Carly Chirst finishing third. Christ also tied for third on the uneven bars.
Camas finished fourth in the Class 4A team competition.
Columbia River was the top 3A/2A team placer, finishing sixth.
State Swimming
Vladyslav Danylyuk of Prairie finished fifth in the Class 3A 100 backstroke event, and he also placed eight in the 100 freestyle at the state swim meet in Federal Way.
Colin Graeme of Seton Catholic also placed in two events, taking sixth in the 50 freestyle and eighth in the 100 butterfly at the Class 2A/1A meet.
Lincoln Swift of Ridgefield finished sixth in the 2A/1A 500 freestyle
Tenzin Kelsang of Camas took eighth place in the 4A 100 breaststroke.
Hockinson took eighth place in the 200 medley relay.
