State champion Columbia River leads Clark County with four all-state athletes

The volleyball champions have a reason to celebrate again.
Same with a few teams that did not win state championships but still managed to make it to state.
The Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association released its all-state teams, and state champion Columbia River had four athletes recognized, including Class 2A player of the year Lauren Dreves.
In all, Clark County volleyball teams had 15 athletes on the all-state teams.
Outside hitter Dreves, an Auburn University commit, was voted the Class 2A state player of the year after leading Columbia River to its third consecutive state championship.
Other Rapids on the all-state teams: Macey McCoy was voted to the first team as a setter; Sydney Dreves, an outside hitter, made the second team; Logan DeJong, a middle blocker, earned honorable mention status.
Breanne Smedley of Columbia River was voted the 2A Coach of the Year.
Ridgefield, which finished second to Columbia River, had three players on the all-state teams: Lizzy Andrew, an outside hitter, was first team; Callie Curran, a setter and right-side hitter, was second team; and Hailey McEllrath, a middle blocker, was second team.
Columbia River and Ridgefield have dominated the state in recent years. Columbia River has won the past three state titles, with Ridgefield finishing second each of those years. And in the two previous tournaments, Ridgefield won state titles.
In Class 4A, Camas finished in sixth place. Two Papermakers were recognized by the coaches. Kendall Mairs, a setter and outside hitter, and Haile Reiter, a libero, were voted to the second team.
Prairie took home the fifth-place trophy at the Class 3A tournament. Two Falcons were recognized by the coaches. Diamond Doutrive, a middle blocker, was voted second team, and outside hitter Ali Millspaugh made honorable mention.
In Class 1A, La Center finished third in state. Mia Achiziger, a libero, was voted first team all-state, as was Billie Ross, a middle blocker. Esther Langeliers, an outside hitter, made the second team. All three La Center players are juniors.
Setter Natalie O’Neil of King’s Way Christian earned honorable mention.
