Furry Friends volunteers are asking for the help of the community to raise $10,000 for the unexpected, extraordinary medical expenses of cats in their care during the one day online fundraising challenge GiveBig! This annual event will happen on May 5.
Furry Friends is committed to providing the best possible medical care for the cats they rescue before they are placed in their forever homes. Most of them need shots and spay/neutering, but sometimes they require dental work or expensive surgery. Last year, Furry Friends spent over $265,000 on medical treatments alone. Furry Friends is looking for some Match Donors. What is a match donor? When a person donates to Furry Friends through the GiveBig campaign, their donation is doubled until the match donations are used up. Mr. Grey spent years surviving on his own, a gentle tom cat doing his best outdoors. By the time he reached us, his body told the story of countless scuffles, and a deep wound on his head had become a serious abscess that would have worsened without urgent treatment. With treatment, safety, and a soft place to land, he’s healing beautifully - and discovering just how wonderful the indoor life can be.
Daria is a soft, fluffy sweetheart who we believe may have been abandoned outdoors by her previous owners. When she arrived at Furry Friends, she had a painful mass growing inside her ear canal and severe double ear infections. Thanks to prompt veterinary care, her mass was successfully removed, her infections are clearing up, and she’s finally feeling like her bright, happy self again.
Toast is a handsome boy who had been living outdoors, cared for by a kind neighbor. When he arrived at our shelter, he was battling severe ear infections, a ruptured ear drum and needed multiple dental extractions due to broken teeth. He’s now settling into a loving foster home, where he’s getting the medical care and comfort he needs on his road to recovery.

Furry Friends is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization located in Vancouver. Furry Friends is the largest “cat only” shelter in Clark County. The mission is to rescue the abandoned, the abused, and the forgotten.
