Area veterans asked to join fellow veterans in fire service
BRUSH PRAIRIE — Clark County Fire District 3 will host a special Coffee with the Chief for veterans on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Dev’s Coffee Bar (316 E. Main St., Battle Ground).
Fire Chief Chris Drone and Division Chief Jason Mansfield — both veterans themselves — will welcome attendees for an informal conversation over coffee. Chief Drone served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1997 to 2003, and Chief Mansfield served in the U.S. Army from 1992 to 1995.
This Veterans Day gathering is an opportunity to recognize those who have served, share stories, and talk about what’s happening in the community and the fire district. The district’s Coffee with the Chief events have drawn participation throughout the year, helping leaders connect more personally with residents and answer questions about local fire and life safety services.
“Our Coffee with the Chief gatherings have been a great way to meet people and hear what matters to them,” said Chief Drone. “On Veterans Day, it feels especially meaningful to sit down with others who have served and talk about our shared commitment to community.”
