Experts in law enforcement, survival, search and rescue, and more are expected to be on hand Saturday to prepare citizens for emergencies
An Emergency and Safety Fair will be held at Manor Grange in Battle Ground on Saturday.
This is an opportunity to learn from the experts on being prepared..
Among the presentations:
- A search-and-rescue demonstration.
- Law enforcement experts to discuss crime awareness.
- Disaster preparedness tips
- Animal evacuation information.
- Personal defense tools.
- And more.
Also, experts from the United States Geological Survey will share information, getting ready for Volcano Awareness Month in May.
In all, there will be a total of 20 exhibits.
The event is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at Manor Grange, 17901 NE 72nd Ave., in Battle Ground
The event is free, but there will be a drawing for a quilt, with proceeds going to the Battle Ground Adventist Community Services.
