This year’s event features two tournaments and games to be played at four different high schools in Clark County as well as at the University of Portland
The 20th annual Curt Daniels Invitational starts Wednesday, with baseball action in two different tournaments happening throughout Clark County as well as at the University of Portland.
The tournaments – 19U and 16U – are double-elimination, with teams guaranteed to play at least five games from June 25 through 29.
The two 16-team brackets feature athletes from all over Clark County as well as the Northwest.
Games will be played at Camas High School, Evergreen High School, Heritage High School, and Mountain View High School in Clark County.
The championship games are set forJoe Etzel Field at the University of Portland on Sunday.
Last year, several colleges and professional baseball organizations had representatives at this event, looking for talent.

The tournament is played in honor of Curt Daniels. Curt was a longtime educator and baseball coach in Vancouver who founded the Vancouver Cardinals in 1983. He died of cancer in 2003. The baseball community has been honoring him with this summer tradition for 20 years.
