The annual Veterans Day Parade, on Nov. 11, starts at Evergreen Blvd. and E. Reserve Street and will finish near the Pearson Air Museum, and that is where CMAC will hold an open house to continue to celebrate and honor veterans
The Community Military Appreciation Committee (CMAC) invites the public to the Veterans Day Open House, immediately following the 37th annual Vancouver Veterans Day Parade on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Pearson Air Museum Hangar.
The Veterans Day Parade starts at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Blvd. and E. Reserve Street, travels through the scenic Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, and finishes near the Pearson Air Museum, where the Open House will follow.
Following the parade — one of the largest Veterans Day parades in the Pacific Northwest — attendees are encouraged to gather at the historic Pearson Air Museum Hangar for an afternoon of community celebration, connection, and gratitude. The Open House will feature more than 25 veteran-friendly businesses and organizations, each hosting information booths to share resources, career opportunities, and community programs that support veterans and their families. Attendees are invited to relax and enjoy complimentary refreshments, including hot dogs, coffee, water, ice cream, and a variety of snacks.
“CMAC’s Veterans Day Open House brings our community together to honor service, celebrate freedom, and connect those who have served with people and organizations that care deeply about them,” said J. Ron Powers, CMAC member and associate event organizer. “It’s one of the most meaningful community gatherings of the year.”
The Veterans Day Open House is free and open to the public. If the government shutdown has concluded, the Pearson Air Museum will likely reopen for the occasion, offering guests the chance to explore one of the region’s most historic aviation landmarks — also with free admission.
Based on past years, organizers anticipate more than 1,000 visitors will attend the Open House, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere filled with conversation, appreciation, and community spirit.
The Pearson Air Museum Hangar is located at 1115 E. 5th Street, Vancouver.
The Community Military Appreciation Committee is a volunteer-based organization that brings together civic leaders, veterans groups, active-duty military, and community members to honor, support, and connect with those who have served. CMAC sponsors and supports events throughout the year, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day observances across Clark County.
