‘Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the stay-at-home orders, and the ban on all non-essential construction, we are unable to meet our September deadlines’
WASHOUGAL — The 2020 NW Natural Parade of Homes in Clark County has been canceled, according to a post on the event’s Facebook page.
“We are saddened to inform our builders, vendors, sponsors and our valued attendees that the NW Natural Parade of Homes will be canceled this year,’’ read the statement. “Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the stay-at-home orders, and the ban on all non-essential construction, we are unable to meet our September deadlines. We fully understand that these are extraordinary times and the safety and wellbeing of our builders, suppliers and vendors is extremely important to us. Though we may disagree with the home building exclusion as set forth, we are respecting the request, and are continuing our outreach to Governor Inslee’s office advocating for our industry. We will see you in 2021.’’
The Building Industry Association of Clark County (BIA) announced earlier this year that this year’s NW Natural Parade of Homes presented by DeWils and HomeStreet Bank would be located at a new Washougal area building site named Magnolia Heights.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the homes took place Feb. 5, featuring the builders, local dignitaries, sponsors and BIA members, www.ClarkCountyParadeofHomes.com
Builders scheduled to be featured at this year’s show were: Glavin Homes, Affinity Homes, Doriot Construction, Waverly Homes, and Marnella Homes. Waverly Homes is the developer.
The NW Natural Parade of Homes is annually produced by the Building Industry Association of Clark County. For the past 43 years SW Washington’s premier home show has become an annual tradition for families, couples and everyone looking for innovative ideas for building, remodeling, landscaping and the latest interior design trends. Homebuyers and those looking for inspiration for their own home will have plenty of options and ideas to explore at the show this September.
