Community members can ask questions and hear what’s ahead for Fire District 3
BRUSH PRAIRIE — Clark County Fire District 3 invites community members to its next “Coffee with the Chief” on Thursday, May 1, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Dev’s Coffee Bar (316 E. Main St., Battle Ground). This informal meet-up offers residents a chance to visit with Fire Chief Chris Drone, ask questions, and hear about the latest developments at Fire District 3.
“We have a lot happening right now—and more coming up—that I’m excited to share,” said Chief Drone. “Last month’s event had a great turnout, and I’d love to see both familiar and new faces at this one.”
District 3 is currently completing several key projects funded by a fire levy lid lift approved by voters in August 2024. These include hiring 13 new firefighter/EMTs, expanding advanced training programs, and upgrading critical apparatus and facilities — all of which will help improve emergency response and enhance community safety.
Beyond responding to fires and medical emergencies, Fire District 3 invests in prevention and public education. Programs include CPR and first aid classes, fire station tours, school visits, fire risk assessments, youth fire starters prevention, and more.
