VANCOUVER – Clark County Auditor candidate Eileen Quiring O'Brien recently announced the endorsement of Clark County Councilor Michelle Belkot, adding another respected county leader to the growing coalition supporting her campaign.
Belkot, who represents District 2 on the Clark County Council, cited Quiring O'Brien's experience, integrity, and commitment to transparency as key reasons for her endorsement.
"Throughout her years of public service, Eileen has demonstrated the kind of leadership our county needs - principled, experienced, and accountable to the people she serves," Belkot said. "She understands that government works best when it is transparent, responsive, and worthy of the public's trust."
A longtime advocate for open government and accountability, Belkot noted that Quiring O'Brien has consistently demonstrated a willingness to ask difficult questions, examine the facts, and stand up for taxpayers.
"As someone who has consistently advocated for openness in government, public accountability, and greater transparency in decision-making, I appreciate Eileen's commitment to those same values," Belkot said.
Belkot also highlighted Quiring O'Brien's executive experience as former Chair of the Clark County Council and her ability to lead a complex organization while maintaining a strong focus on serving the public.
"The Office of County Auditor is one of the most important positions in county government," Belkot said. "It requires leadership, management experience, attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to serving the public. Eileen brings all of those qualities to the job."
Quiring O'Brien welcomed the endorsement and praised Belkot's record of service to Clark County residents.

The endorsement is believed to further strengthen Quiring O'Brien's growing support among current and former local elected officials, community leaders, and citizens across Clark County.
