The Camas-Washougal Community Chest raised $134,000 and distributed 34 grants in 2024
The Camas-Washougal Community Chest has launched its 2025 fundraising campaign, with the goal of raising $126,000 to issue grants next year.
The 2024 campaign raised $134,000 and distributed 34 grants. Among the grants issued were:
- Inter-Faith Treasure House, a local food bank
- AKIN (formerly Children’s Home Society of Washington) for family support programs
- Family Promise, helping needy families keep their home or find a new one
- Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership for habitat improvements
- Impact for funding of grocery gift cards for low-income families
- Washougal’s Songcraft Festival, funding for local artists
- Alliance of Southwest Washington for Cottonwood Beach cleanups.
- Camp Currie for repairs
The Camas-Washougal Community Chest has been helping local charities thrive since 1946. The CWCC has a partnership with the Camas-Washougal Rotary Foundation and the Camas Lions Foundation.
“Giving to the Camas-Washougal Community Chest is an easy and efficient way to help people in need in our hometown,” said David Pinkernell, president.
