Camas senior quarterback Jake Davidson earned another individual honor, leading a number of local players who earned all-state football status, courtesy of the Washington State Football Coaches Association.
The Gatorade state player of the year is now also the WSFCA Class 4A player of the year, it was announced earlier this week.
In all, 17 players from Clark County (and Woodland) were voted to the all-state teams for their classifications.
Davidson, who threw 53 touchdowns passes in 14 games for the Papermakers, helped Camas reach the Class 4A state championship game in Husky Stadium in December.
His top receiver, Chase McGee, was also named to the all-state team. McGee caught 77 passes for 1,445 yards and 24 touchdowns.
On defense, Nikko Speer was voted to the team as a linebacker.
Also on the 4A all-state team were Skyview offensive lineman Noah Thomas, Skyview wide receiver Gavin Packer, and Union kicker Canaan Moore.
Seton Catholic had its best season in program history, and the program was rewarded with four all-state selections in Class 1A.
Jacob Williams was voted in as one of the state’s top running backs, Ryker Ruelas was one of the top wide receivers, and Joe Callerame was voted the top all-around/skills player in all of 1A football. On defense, Aeven Napoleon was voted in as linebacker.
Also at 1A, Wyatt Eiesland (linebacker) and Nate Rembisz (K/P) were all-state players from La Center.
Evergreen won the 3A Greater St. Helens League title and got two players on the all-state team: Terrance Saryon, wide receiver, and Josiah Alanis, defensive back.
Also on the 3A all-state team is longtime offensive line standout Juan Pasillas-Stanton of Mountain View.
In Class 2A, Woodland’s Elijah Andersen was voted to all-state as all-purpose athlete after leading the Beavers to their second consecutive Class 2A Greater St. Helens League title.
Elijah Franco of Washougal was all-state as a defensive back.
