BIA President’s Awards presented to honor industry contributions
VANCOUVER – Building Industry Association of Clark County (BIA) named Kingston Homes as Builder of the Year. This honor is awarded each year to the company that exemplifies leadership, innovation, design excellence, and integrity in business. Earlier in 2023, Kingston Homes, LLC. was honored with 9 Industry Awards and 7 People’s Choice Awards for its GRO Parade of Homes project, Vivid in the Ashbury neighborhood of Felida.
“The Kingston team strives to achieve excellence in building superior custom homes for our community,” stated Erin Wriston, chief executive officer of Kingston Homes. “To be recognized as Builder of The Year by our industry peers and partners is an extreme honor and gives us a wonderful feeling of pride and accomplishment.”
In addition to Builder of the Year, the BIA honored industry professionals in 8 other categories for leadership, advocacy, and excellent craftsmanship. Caleb Blanton, 2023 BIA president and construction manager at New Tradition Homes was honored with the Outstanding Leadership Award.
“Receiving the Outstanding Leadership Award is a great honor; however, I share it with our amazing members and industry partners who made leading the BIA in 2023 not only easy but a joy,” said Caleb Blanton, construction manager at New Tradition Homes.
Industry Advocate of the Year went to Jon Girod, owner of Quail. Girod dedicated numerous hours to highlight and support workforce development initiatives throughout Clark County. Sarah Neibert from Affinity Homes was honored as Volunteer of the Year for the countless volunteer hours she contributed to various BIA programs with a special focus on the Building Futures Foundation that offers scholarships and tool grants.
Developers, builders, remodelers and subcontractors were also honored for their projects and support in 2023. Remodeler of the Year was awarded to A.C.T. Builders, LLC, Developer of the Year went to Nutter Corporation, and Cascade Flooring America was presented with Subcontractor of the Year.
“BIA members are best in class which makes Remodeler of the Year an even greater honor,” said Aaron Marvin, owner of A.C.T. Builders LLC. “The work we do does not happen in a silo. We rely on exemplary industry partners. That is what we have found at the BIA.”
The BIA is comprised of builder members and associate members. President’s Awards were presented to Ashley Shimer of WFG Title for Associate of the Year and Parr Lumber for Supplier of the Year.
