The 100 Women Who Care Southwest Washington selects a nonprofit organization to support every quarter, and Battle Ground Senior Citizens was announced as this quarter’s recipient of support
Battle Ground Senior Citizens has been named the recipient of a large charitable donation courtesy of the 100 Women Who Care of Southwest Washington.
Each quarter, members of the 100 Women Who Care Southwest Washington gather to select a local nonprofit organization that is making a positive impact in the community. The fourth quarter of 2025 will go to BGSC.
“We are deeply grateful to the women of 100 Women Who Care for recognizing the importance of supporting our senior community,” said Sharon Wodtke, president of Battle Ground Senior Citizens. “This generous contribution will help us continue providing programs that keep seniors active, connected, and valued.”
Each quarter, members of 100 Women Who Care nominate three local nonprofits. The group who are present at that meeting vote on which organization to support that quarter. Then they raise money.
At the end of that meeting, Battle Ground Senior Citizens was presented with a check for $10,250. But that is not all. Members of 100 Women Who Care who were not present at the meeting also will have an opportunity to give. It is estimated that the total will be more than $15,000.
“We are thrilled to see another outstanding local nonprofit receive this quarter’s collective donation,” said Katherine Hart Morris, representing 100 Women Who Care of Southwest Washington. “Battle Ground Senior Citizens are doing meaningful work to support and uplift our senior community, and we’re proud to contribute to their mission of connection, care, and engagement.”
