BATTLE GROUND — The city of Battle Ground has developed its first Parklet Program as a way to support local businesses by allowing them to utilize public parking spaces for outdoor service areas during Phase 2 and 3 of the Safe Start Washington plan.
Clark County was approved for Phase 2 Friday, effective immediately.
Parklets are temporary seating or service areas located alongside a sidewalk or former roadside parking space adjacent to a licensed business location. Permitted parklets provide restaurants and retailers the opportunity to expand their service to an outdoor space in order to achieve required physical distancing.
