Exhibit to run through November, with a special kickoff event scheduled for First Friday
The “Gift of Art” will feature original works by members of the newly formed Artisans Guild of Camas at an exhibit throughout the month of November.
The guild is inviting the public to kick off the event on Friday, at the First Friday Art Walk Reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Second Story Gallery, located above the Camas Library at 625 NE Fourth Avenue in downtown Camas.
“Our leadership team is thrilled to partner with Second Story Gallery to present the new show,” said Deborah Nagano, co-president of the AGC along with Sharon Buckmaster. “We have titled this show ‘Gift of Art’ because it’s just in time for holiday giving.”
All works will be for sale.
Work by a total of 18 artists will be showcased. Many of the artists are scheduled to be at the First Friday event.
Participating artists include Shirley Bishop (glass); Tamara Dinius (mixed media); Theresa Haddow (alcohol inks); Linda Kliewer (clay); Sandra Longmore (acrylic/oil); Cheryl Matheison (oil); Sue Merritt (glass); Kenneth Meyers (photography); Debora Nagano (mixed media and oil); Liz Nye (mixed media); Liz Pike (oil); Ariel Russell (digital); Keith E. Russell (oil); Angela Swanson (contemporary mixed media); Miranda Wakeman (watercolor); Jennie Westfall (contemporary mixed media); Regina Westmoreland (mixed media); and Robin Yoshida (acrylic).
The Artisans’ Guild of Camas is a community art association. Established in early 2022, AGC has more than 60 members. AGC caters to artists of all experience levels and mediums, as well as art supporters who wish to enrich their artistic experiences. The mission of AGC is to inspire enthusiasm for visual arts and crafts through education and exhibition opportunities in and around Camas.
