The Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex and Bennett Hall at Abrams Park will host a variety of weeklong YMCA Day Camps between June 21 and August 27
Summer Day Camps for children will be held in Ridgefield this summer, thanks to a partnership between the city of Ridgefield and the Clark County Family YMCA.
The Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex and Bennett Hall at Abrams Park will host a variety of weeklong YMCA Day Camps between June 21 and August 27. The day camps, designed for kids ages 4-6 and 7-12, provide fun, action packed activities and opportunities for learning through discovery.
Themed camps include STEM (Lego Engineering, Star Wars Coding with Legos, and Kitchen Science); Cooking (Y Chefs Around the World, Storybook Y Chefs); Sports (Fitness Fun & Games); Performing Arts (Glee and Jr. Glee); and Creative Media Arts (Art Factory and Young Piccasso).
“We are thrilled to bring YMCA camps to Ridgefield,” said Jennifer Lawrence, senior program director at the YMCA. “We believe camp is beneficial for all kids. No matter what your child’s interests are, camp helps children develop skills, build self-confidence, make new friends and strengthen a sense of belonging.
