Rocksolid Community Teen Center invites teens to event

Teen center staff, volunteers to hold ‘Teen Takeover’ on Nov. 9

BRUSH PRAIRIE — Rocksolid Community Teen Center staff and volunteers invite all teens in grades 5-12 to attend “Teen Takeover”, an event to be held Thu., Nov. 9 at Rocksolid from 7-10 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Total Merchant Concepts, Chappelle’s Towing, Morton’s Stoves, Pools & Spas, iQ Credit Union, and Shannon Wyman/Legions Realty broker.

For a $5 entry fee, teens will be treated with numerous things. Participants will get to enjoy pizza donated by Detroit Pizza. Rocksolid will provide juice, water or soda. Interactive inflatable game and obstacle from Bounce ‘N Battle will be set up in the gymnasium.Rocksolid Community Teen Center staff and volunteers invite all teens in grades 5-12 to attend “Teen Takeover”, an event to be held Thu., Nov. 9 at Rocksolid from 7-10 p.m.

The teens will be able to take home a keepsake photo from VIP Photo Booth. Fear Factor winners will receive prizes. Teens should bring school ID to check in for age verification. Anyone with questions regarding the event or the Rocksolid program can call (360) 885-2181.

“Our team is excited to have the teen takeover event at our facility this time. It gives teens a chance to see what all we have to offer them after school.” said Marcy Sprecher, executive director

Rocksolid Community Teen Center offers a safe place after school for students in grades 5-12 in the Battle Ground and Hockinson School Districts. The teen center provides caring mentors which help with homework, play games, make crafts, teach life skills, offer free healthy snacks, contribute to community service projects and much more for only $20 a year per student.

Rocksolid is located in the lower level of Bethel Lutheran Church, 12919 NE 159th St., Brush Prairie. The mission of the teen center is “To provide a safe place for youth of our community and to foster relationships with one another and caring adults for the purpose of encouraging them to become Rocksolid persons.” Those interested in finding more about the program, Executive Director Marcy Sprecher can be reached at Marcy@rocksolid-teen.com.
