The supplies came from the district’s ‘shelter in place’ kits and health rooms
VANCOUVER — Following a call by Clark County emergency coordinators for donations of medical supplies, Evergreen Public Schools today delivered over 11,000 masks, thousands of splash shields, and hundreds of pairs of safety glasses to Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency (CRESA).
“We wanted to provide our First Responders and Healthcare professionals with tools that they need to protect themselves during the COVID-19 outbreak. We know that CRESA will get these supplies to those that need them in our community,” said Evergreen Public Schools Superintendent Mike Merlino.
The district collected the medical supplies from multiple schools and buildings. The masks, shields and glasses came from our schools’ “Shelter in Place” kits, health rooms, medical and dental programs and other College Career & Technical Education (CCTE) programs.
CRESA is seeking other donations of unopened boxes of masks, gloves, gowns, and other medical equipment. To arrange a drop-off, they’re asking that people email COVIDsupplies@CRESA911.org.
