Large geomagnetic storm is forecast tonight
It takes perfect conditions to see the Northern Lights in Clark County, and it is very possible that tonight just might be perfect.
A rare Category G4 geomagnetic storm is forecast across the northern United States for Friday, May 10. This is the strongest stormwatch of its kind since 2005.
Oh, and with clear skies in the forecast, this is an unusual opportunity for Washington, particularly south Washington.

The experts say the best time is from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.
It is best to get away from city lights, and head to a place you can look north.
