Titans fight back from a 14-point second-half deficit in Saturday semifinal
VANCOUVER — The Union Titans did it again.
Only this time meant so much more.
Union rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit and beat Puyallup 35-28 Saturday at McKenzie Stadium and will play for the Class 4A state championship next week in the Tacoma Dome.
Lincoln Victor scored on a 16-yard run with 2:52 to play, giving the Titans the final 21 points of this state semifinal game.
Union did the same thing to the Vikings in Week 5 of the regular season, scoring the final 21 points in a 38-31 victory.
This time, this win, sends Union to the finals.
Victor passed for 281 yards and three touchdowns, plus rushed for 83 yards and the game-winner.
Jojo Siofele had 108 yards receiving, including a 70-yard touchdown reception. Alex Jackson caught two touchdown passes.
