The Wildcats are ready to start league play after a tough non-league schedule. Didn’t get to see this one, but La Center scored 17 points in the second quarter to take control and cruised to the non-league win. Here are some notes from coach John Lambert.

What did Coach John Lambert learn about his team in Week 4? “We need to focus on finishing a team and not letting up in the second half.”

MVP on offense: Jackson Leslie. “Best blocking wide receiver around,’’ Lambert said. “Also can make big catches.”

MVP on defense: Wyatt Siebert had his best game of the season, Lambert said, with multiple sacks.

Thoughts on Week 5 vs. King’s Way Christian: “Finally to league play,’’ Lambert said. “King’s Way has some talented and tough players.”
