More than 40 senior baseball players from area high schools set to play Wednesday
The 42nd annual Southwest Washington Senior All-Star Game, which is Wednesday, has a new home.
The event, featuring high school senior baseball players, will be at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex, the home of the Ridgefield Raptors.
In fact, the gameday operations will be run by Raptors personnel, giving the players a little bit of the West Coast Baseball League experience. It also makes for a training day or sorts for the Raptors in preparation for their inaugural season. The Raptors’ home opener is June. 4.
The high school stars will play two eight-inning games, with the first game starting at 4 p.m. Cost is $5 or $3 for senior citizens.
