Taylor Stephens, of La Center, is an honorable mention selection

The Class of 2019 is a special one for Clark County high school girls basketball.

Two players were voted first team all state and another was named honorable mention.

Brooke Walling of Prairie, the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League Player of the Year, and Beyonce Bea of Washougal, the 2A GSHL Player of the Year, were both first-team selections in their classifications. Taylor Stephens of La Center earned honorable mention status.

All three are juniors this year and all three helped their teams reach the final week of the state tournaments.

The Associated Press’ Washington high school basketball all-state teams were released Tuesday morning.

Kevin Porter Jr. of Rainier Beach and Lexie Hull of Central Valley were named the state players of the year.
