Vancouver seniors to get an early start celebrating the new year

Attendees will ring in the New Year at a 1920s-themed evening of live music and dancing

VANCOUVER — Seniors ages 50+ are invited to kick off the “Roaring 20s” at the 2020 Welcome the New Year Dance from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Sun., Dec. 29 at Luepke Senior Center (1009 E. McLoughlin Blvd.).

Attendees will ring in the New Year at a 1920s-themed evening of live music and dancing, featuring local favorite, Charles and the Angels. Tickets include light refreshments and a sparkling cider toast. The annual event is hosted by Vancouver Parks and Recreation’s 50 and Better program. It is sponsored by Bonaventure Senior Living, Seniors Property Services, Vancouver Pointe Senior Village, Hughes Team NW, Hampton & Ashley Inn Senior Communities and Knights of Pythias Active Retirement Center.

Tickets are $15 for City residents and $18 for non-residents, and advance registration is required. Register for tickets by calling (360) 487-7100 or at www.vanparksrec.org with activity barcode 13934.
