Tickets for the event are $25 and available at www.ridgefieldchamberofcommerce.com .

This is the first official collaboration between Ridgefield Main Street and the newly-formed Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce.

The event is designed to support downtown Ridgefield merchants by inviting people to come to Ridgefield in the evening, and offer a new business networking event for Chamber of Commerce members and the community.

Months ago, restaurant owners and the Liberty Theater in Ridgefield began meeting and agreed to extend evening hours on Thursday through Saturday nights.  Patrons will hear music playing outside and the lights are on – they call themselves the Night Shift.

Ridgefield Main Street is working on supporting the efforts with promotion, an evening lighting plan and events like Elevate!

Featured speakers have been specially selected to share their stories of success in life and business. The first three speakers are:

  • Phuong Tran – Owner of Lava Java and an award-winning barista. Currently featured at the Clark County Historic Museum’s “How We Came To This Place” exhibit. A real American success story, she will share her family’s experience in Vietnam, travel to the United States and experiences that led her to where she is today.
  • Michael Holton – Former Portland Trail Blazer player, coach and currently part of the television broadcast team for the Portland Trail Blazers. The Michael Holton Basketball Academy has since been formed and supports/ promotes life skill development, confidence building, physical fitness and educating youth. Holton’s ability to coach and inspire others has translated into helping people manage the risk of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.
  • Bill and Jeanne Firstenburg — Bill Firstenburg is the son of Ed W Firstenburg, founder of First Independent Bank originally in Ridgefield.  Bill and Jeanne have served as CEO and president respectively of the banking institution and now oversee the family’s legacy of philanthropic activities throughout Clark County.
