New Camas group for artists to hold presentation Tuesday

Artisans Guild of Camas looks to be officially established by this summer

A new group in Camas is being organized to celebrate art and artists.

The Artisans’ Guild of Camas is also hosting a presentation at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Camas Public Library. Pamela Sue Anderson, an art entrepreneur, will be discussing the “Art of Selling Art.”

There is an “Art to Selling Art” and the new Artisans’ Guild of Camas is holding a presentation on the topic on Tuesday, one of the first events for the new group that will encourage and support artists in the Camas area.

The guild is in the process of discussing by-laws, and the goal is to be established, with officers, by the summer.

“Lots of creative people live in Camas and the surrounding communities, and the group is intended to inspire, encourage, and assist each other in their artistic endeavors,” said Toni McCarthy, one of the four founding members of the guild.

Beyond artists, the guild will also welcome art lovers, collectors, and supporters. Membership is free this year.

Deborah Nagano, Angela Swanson, and India deLanda are the other founding members of the guild.
