“Let’s Play Bridge” is the singular refrain that seems to be about all that is left to do for the aging members of the men-only, Explorators Club. So when the president of the club, Tom Caldwell unexpectedly passes away, leaving his legacy in jeopardy (as well as a spot open at the Bridge table), the remaining members come up with a plan to save it. All heck breaks loose in this farcical comedy as the members are also faced with a female who wants to join the club.

“Who ever heard of a woman explorer? And how do we tell her to get lost?” A complication that now puts the members into a frenzy matching excuses against the long list of credentials that Dr. Ruth Beekman is more than able to supply.

The Explorators Club is said to be “a wildly funny throwback to a time when men dominated clubs, and activities dominated the landscape, and how women have broken through those barriers and found common ground with their male peers.’’

Director Shanae Tullis, of Vancouver, has assembled a talented cast of seasoned veterans for the comedy. Starring in The Explorators Club is Lou Pallotta of Ridgefield; Dan Robertson of Portland; Ron Harman of Portland; Sharon Mann of Vancouver; Brenda McGinnis of Vancouver; Henry Lorch of Vancouver and Austin Yancey of Vancouver.
