‘The Farndale Avenue … Christmas Carol’ to be performed Nov. 30-Dec. 16
WOODLAND — Tis the season to be jolly this December at Love Street Playhouse. And what better way to celebrate the season and capture the spirit of this joyous holiday than with the classic tale of Scrooge, Tiny Tim and Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as Love Street presents its next production, “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society Production of A Christmas Carol,” by Charles Dickens, David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin, Jr.
The production will be playing Nov. 30 – Dec. 16, at Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Avenue, Woodland. Single tickets start at $20 and are on sale now by visiting the website at www.lovestreetplayhouse.com.
The classic Dickens Tale loosely told by the Farndale Avenue Women’s Guild, when and if they can remember their lines, presents a hilarious and dizzying array of characters whose fracturing portrayal of these classic characters will have you rejoicing this Christmas with outbursts of hysterical laughter. It’s a madcap adventure told by the women of the Guild whose acting egos certainly surpass their respective talents and whose bickering between the lines will have you howling aloud.
But it doesn’t stop there! Oh no, it’s a personal battle for supremacy and their one-upmanship will not only bring down the house but parts of the set as well. The hijinks are abundant as they trip over each others lines, remind each other of their prowess and trip each other up with pratfalls, flying planes and anything else that isn’t nailed to the ground. It’s a fun Christmas adventure that will start your Christmas season with great joy!
