The public is invited to a First Friday Artist Reception on Fri., July 5 from 5:30 to 8 p.m at Camas Gallery
CAMAS — Camas Gallery is featuring “Field of Sunflowers,” a brand new body of work by Liz Pike in oils on canvas during the month of July. The gallery is located at 408 NE Fourth Avenue in downtown Camas.
The public is invited to a First Friday Artist Reception on Fri., July 5 from 5:30 to 8 p.m at Camas Gallery to meet Pike and celebrate her new work. During the reception, Pike will be do a live painting demonstration in oils on canvas. Those in attendance can enjoy complimentary wine, cheese and Pike’s famous chocolate truffles.
The public is also invited to view the “Sunflower Mobile,” Pike’s latest “moving’’ original oil on fiberglass. This one-of-a-kind, 6-passenger golf cart is hand painted in Pike’s signature sunflowers and will be parked in front of Camas Gallery during the afternoon and evening of the Artist Reception on July 5.
“Liz Pike is one of our prominent artists at Camas Gallery,” says gallery owner Marquita Call. ”She brings her subjects to life and this show is no exception. We are excited to present her new work.”
“I’m inspired by the beauty of the outdoors. Our gardens at Shangri-La Farm have become my sanctuary and muse,” says Pike. “I’m thrilled to be the featured artist for the month of July at Marquita’s gallery. I look forward to sharing all of my new work with the public.”
