Tickets for the event are $75 per person, $700 table of 10.  Event tickets are now on sale and can be purchased on-line at friendsofthecarpenter.org or at the FOC office, 1600 W. 20th Street.

“With just over two weeks before our event, our board members, volunteers and staff are excited to finalize the activities for our annual auction and dinner,” said Tom Iberle, executive director. “In addition to our live auction, mystery boxes, and raffle, we have a fantastic selection of silent auctions with heirloom-caliber wood items, fabric art, baskets, and much more. We look forward to celebrating with our guests and sharing our vision of a new direction by introducing the creation of our Pre-apprenticeship program which will launch in 2020.”

The live auction will feature 10 items, including: Cruise on the Willamette, Weekend by the Sea in Gearhart, Classic 0.10 Carat Diamond Pendant from Ben Bridge Jewelers, Dinner with Vancouver Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle, a Custom Garden Arbor, Blazer Fun for Four, Date Nights Package, BBQ Grilling Class and Dinner for 6, Hood River Getaway, and a Marble Top Table by Otto Bombach.

The event will also feature mystery boxes, with new handmade wood-crafted items, for $30 each.  There will also be a raffle, with first prize featuring a beautiful, hand-crafted, segmented bowl created by Master Woodworker Terry Ellis; raffle tickets are $5 each or 5/$20.

All funds raised by the event support FOC’s mission, including programs at the Friendship Center where people of all circumstances are empowered to live life with dignity, hope and love.

About FOC

Friends of the Carpenter was incorporated in Vancouver in Oct. 1998 and began as a vision of a practical outreach of simple welcome and personal interaction between volunteers from the church and people living in poverty. Since the beginning, regular contact has been made with the homeless and poor persons of our community through woodworking events scheduled throughout the community and which, today, are held at FOC’s Friendship Center. Our mission: Friends of the Carpenter is a nonprofit, faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and purpose for vulnerable members of our community.
