Don’t be mad that it’s (almost) over.
Be happy you got to experience it.
And if you have not experienced it yet, you’ve got one more opportunity.
The Clark County Fair is wrapping up its 10-day run on Sunday, and there will be monsters.
Oh, and pies, too.
But first, those monsters.
The always popular Monster Trucks are back at the fair with performances at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the grandstands. Also back, Monster Truck rides.
Speaking of monsters, Sunday is the last time to take in Dino Encounters, the featured exhibit of the 2024 fair.
All the daily exhibits such as Curly the Camel and Friends, DogTown, Butterfly Adventures, and Parrot’s Pirate Live Bird Show will be having their final appearances of the fair, as well.
Also on Sunday, Aug. 11 is Shari’s Cafe Pie Eating Contest. Mmmmm. Registration is at 1 p.m., with the competition at 1:30 p.m. at the Holt Homes Community Stage.
The community stage is packed with entertainment on the final day.
Riny Horst Country Gospel will perform at 11 a.m. Magician Adam the Great takes the stage at 12:15 p.m. At 3 p.m., it is time for the Anavai O Te Ora Polynesian Dancers. Roberto the Magnificent goes on at 4:30 p.m. Joe Black the hypnotist has two shows, one at 6 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m.
The Clark County Fair officially closes at 10 p.m. on Sunday. For those who love the carnival rides, it is possible the carnival area will be open later. No guarantees, but often Butler Amusements will keep the rides going after closing time to ensure anyone in line gets one last chance to ride.
