“Always … Patsy Cline!’’ to feature 26 songs complete with a five-piece country band
VANCOUVER — Beacock Music will host six benefit concerts in the upstairs theater at its Vancouver location between Nov. 1-10. The show, “Always … Patsy Cline!,’’ is described as a musical extravaganza that will feature 26 songs complete with a five-piece piece country band.
Kristen Johnson will play Patsy Cline and Laurie Campbell-Leslie will play Louise. The performances will be directed by Tony Bump.
Ticket sales will help fund the Daryle Rustvold MusicForLife Scholarship Foundation, which provides for exploration and growth in music through diverse learning opportunities for all ages.
“Always … Patsy Cline” is a true story about Cline’s friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Cline until her death.
This musical extravaganza is complete with down home country humor and true emotion that includes many of Cline’s unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams and Walking After Midnight. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letters to Seger, which were consistently signed “Love ALWAYS … Patsy Cline.”
