New exhibit opens at Art at the Cave during First Friday this week
Described as an untethered look at the multiple realities we live in, Art of the Cave is presenting Abstract Reality beginning Friday.
“The artists in this show use abstraction to bend the world in ways that enable us to make sense of the absurdity … to find peace in conflict … to tweak the way we look at the world,” according to a press release from Gallery 360 and the Mosaic Arts Alliance.
The exhibit opens at 4 p.m. Friday at Art of the Cave, 108 E. Evergreen in downtown Vancouver. Many of the artists showcased in the exhibit are expected to be there Friday to answer questions.
Friday’s opening is part of the First Friday Downtown Art Walk, presented by Vancouver’s Downtown Association. More than a dozen studios, bookstores, galleries and more will be open until 8 p.m.
Abstract Reality will continue Tuesdays through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. through May 28.
