Volunteers are still needed for distribution, and interested people can sign up through a link on Santa’s Posse Facebook page or via email
It will be a busy night tonight (Thu., Dec. 16) at the Clark County Events center, as hundreds of volunteers prepare to help over 3,000 Clark County children and 1,200 families.
Santa’s Posse is a holiday charity started by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office in 1997, and tonight volunteers will be boxing thousands of food boxes and toy bags. In the past they would be wrapping the gifts but due to COVID organizers are trying to minimize contact among volunteers.
Starting at 5:30 p.m. volunteers will start boxing and bagging. Sunday morning volunteers will distribute food boxes and gift bags to families throughout Clark County.

Santa’s Posse was created as a way of contributing back to the community and helping families in need during the holiday season. What started with delivery of food, gifts and personal care items to 25 families has expanded to 1,200 plus families.
The Santa’s Posse will provide Christmas for over 3,000 children in Clark County.
The Mission Statement for the organization is:
A partnership between the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the local community working together to collect and distribute toys and food to make a special Christmas holiday for less fortunate families in our community.
Santa’s Posse is an all-volunteer nonprofit that spends a small amount of its money on marketing and administrative supplies, the rest of the money goes toward purchasing food and toys for families in need.
