There are over 50 quilts of various sizes, twin, lap, and children’s, made by the ladies of area churches
The North Clark Historical Museum Quilt Show this year will feature comfort quilts made by the ladies of the Glenwood Community Church, St. John Lutheran Church, and Highland Lutheran Church for the County Wide Chaplaincy that serves all Clark County Fire and Police departments. Some of the church groups also donate to Hospice, Veterans, Lutheran Relief Project, Angel Tree, and to members of their church in need.
There are over 50 quilts of various sizes, twin, lap, and children’s, made by the ladies of these churches. The quilts are given to comfort those who have been through a stressful time. Several museum members are also bringing their comfort quilts to put on display.
The Museum will be open on Saturday (March 26), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Sunday (March 27), from noon to 4 p.m. Members of the quilting groups and the County Wide Chaplaincy will be available to chat and answer questions.
The 2022 Raffle Quilt, “Wild Flowers” made by the Chelatchie Quilters, will be available to view and tickets will be available to purchase for $1.00 each. Quilt Raffle proceeds go to the Capital Improvement Fund.
The Museum is now open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. The hours are noon to 4:00 p.m. The address is 21416 NE 399th St., Amboy, WA. Plan a visit to North Clark County and view the wonderful exhibit of “Quilts for Comfort” at the Museum.
