Annual plant sales underway at Battle Ground and Woodland schools

School closure and stay-at-home orders have led to changes for this year’s events

At Battle Ground High School, online ordering and scheduling for pickup began this week. There will be no greenhouse access this year due to the school closure and no cash or checks or credit cards will be accepted onsite.

Appointments for pickup only can be made for May 5-9, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Battle Ground High School greenhouses. Purchasers can schedule a pickup appointment after they complete an online transaction.

Those who pickup purchases will be responsible for their own Personal Protection Equipment and will need to load their own plants. No students will be working the sale this year. All sales are final.

Among the plants available for purchase are annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, vegetables and fruit. For a more detailed list, including prices, visit:

Woodland High School plant sale

Organizers of the annual Woodland High School FFA Plant Sale, in its 30th year, have found a safe way to honor the work of their agriculture students invested in their greenhouse. Orders can be picked up May 6-8.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Plant Sale is being offered online only with a scheduled pick up time curbside on Robinson Avenue (between Woodland High School and Walmart). Those interested can order online, pay online, drive up and pick up. Social distancing will be in place. Orders are currently being accepted.

Woodland students will be involved virtually — communicating with the public, creating marketing materials, supporting sales, and managing inventory. For more information, contact Kendra Pearce at pearcek@woodlandschools.org.
