Vincent Cavaleri of the Silent Majority Foundation discusses what he calls ‘a relentless attack on masculine American men’

For countless generations, American men have been viewed as courageous lions throughout the world. The leaders of the pride, bold and decisive, the family protectors, and often regarded as heads of the household in American culture. This is the traditional nuclear family role that has existed since the birth of our United States. American men were strong, fearless, assertive, and acted with a high degree of fortitude.
Unfortunately, these attributes are no longer tolerable in today’s America, according to the progressive left.
Over the past 20 years or so, we’ve witnessed a relentless attack on masculine American men; carried out by political correctness, over parenting, identity politics and of course progressive woke ideology. Presently, men are losing their place as dominant figures in American culture. The left’s continued push to feminize young boys, strip them of aggressive tendencies and over-sensitize them has caused lasting harm and confusion as to their roles in American society.
The lack of male role models has only worsened the problem.
I was fortunate enough to grow up in the era of Hollywood greats like John Wayne, Steve McQueen, Clint Eastwood, and far too many others to list. These men were gritty and tough, and always willing to take a few lumps in keeping with their macho reputations. They weren’t in touch with their feminine side or worried about offending someone with their lack of pronoun recognition.
These men were chiseled from granite and polished with sandpaper; and understood exactly what their roles were, and how they fit in American cinema, and of course in America’s family unit.
Currently, the media and entertainment industry seem all too happy to facilitate the abolition of the strong American male. American men are now portrayed as being spineless, soft, weak, and wimpy within the family unit; and these detrimental characterizations are now starting to manifest across the spectrum of American culture. They showcase men to be aloof and uncertain of themselves, and their role in the nuclear family, which undermines their capacity as the male role model in the home.
Unfortunately, the progressive left continues to dangerously define male masculinity as “toxic” and suggests that boys should repress their natural instincts and emotions from any type of male expression. They push emasculation as the solution. Progressive logic wrongfully implies that barriers to equality and progress are due to male aggression, and thus must be stomped out.
Their effort to eradicate alpha male tendencies has had a devastating impact on America’s boys. As the world moves closer to conflict, we need men to be stoic warriors with a killer instinct and a fearless heart. We don’t need them looking to get in touch with their feminine side. America is at her strongest when a man’s primal instincts are weaponized for the defense of a nation. America’s alpha male persona coupled with its unparalleled bravado needs to be the tip of the spear in defending the free world.
America’s public school system has been at the epicenter of the assault on young boys; and bears much of the blame. Teaching them things like critical race theory, hyper sexualization, prescribing Adderall and Ritalin to any boy that shows the slightest bit of rambunctiousness, forcing and promoting transgenderism and subjecting them to a constant barrage of so-called positive reinforcement, where no one is allowed to have their feelings hurt and everyone gets a trophy, all hinder the growth and maturation of America’s boys.
The pressure being applied on boys is so intense, that very few of them emerge into adulthood as strong, confident, and independent young men that can take care of themselves and start families of their own. As the left continues its strident push for the centralization of power, the progressives have realized that traditional masculine men stand in contrast to a culture of entitlement and dependency; and for this reason, they must be canceled. Even to the detriment of a nation.
Sun Tzu wrote, “An evil ruler will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes.” This should tell you all you need to know about progressivism in America.
