Semi Bird is a Republican candidate running for governor of Washington state

Semi Bird, the trail blazing black Republican candidate for governor, staunchly opposes the extreme left-wing practice of “label lynching.” In a recent poll conducted by the Northwest Progressive Institute, Bird’s popularity surpasses two Democrat gubernatorial candidates, reflecting the growing support for his inclusive vision.

While one of Bird’s opponents attempted to create a divisive commission, with the Legislature’s approval, that would have unjustly labeled half of Washington’s residents as “Domestic Violent Extremists,” Bird stands firmly against the political weaponization of labels and government. His commitment to uniting ALL the people of Washington shines through, as he rejects the regressive and racist tactics employed by certain extremists within the GOP and the far left, who exploit labels for their own gain.

Bird’s actions speak volumes about his genuine dedication to inclusivity and unity. He recently celebrated Juneteenth with the city of Kent, marking a historic moment as the first GOP candidate to do so. This event exemplifies Bird’s unwavering commitment to honoring the diversity of Washington’s communities and fostering a sense of togetherness.

Despite being new to statewide races, Bird faces attempts by his own party and the left to label him as an “ultra MAGA” candidate. However, the Northwest Progressive Institute’s recent poll reveals that Bird’s popularity transcends these divisive labels, as he garners significant support from the people. Bird remains focused on his genuine commitment to serving the people and refuses to be sidetracked by political distractions.

Recent media coverage has emphasized Bird’s attendance at a fundraising event with Joe Kent and Matt Gaetz, deliberately highlighting their connection to the “MAGA” movement. While Semi Bird and Joe Kent may not align on all issues, they have a bond of friendship based on their mutual service as Army Special Forces Green Berets.

Bird’s campaign has gained remarkable traction, thanks to the support of small donors who have contributed over $100,000 to date. This support surpasses that of all other Republican candidates and demonstrates the resonance of Bird’s message with the people of Washington. Moreover, Bird has secured three Republican GOP county endorsements, including a historic endorsement from Yakima County, the most populous county in Washington’s 4th Congressional District. This groundbreaking endorsement paves the way for future black Republican candidates for governor in the state.

Criticism about Bird’s self-identification as a constitutional Christian conservative is baseless when examined in the light of his actions. His celebration of Juneteenth with the city of Kent underscores his commitment to inclusivity and unity. Bird also advocates for women’s reproductive rights, ensuring that choices are made by women themselves, aligned with their individual circumstances. His focus is on empowering women with access, options, and support to make informed decisions.

As the clear frontrunner among Republican candidates, Bird enjoys unprecedented support, donations, and endorsements early in the campaign cycle. Despite the lack of support from certain state senators and representatives, the Bird for Governor campaign remains optimistic as state counties rally behind Bird’s vision for Washington State. His courageous rejection of label weaponization and his dedication to unity and understanding distinguish him as a leader who prioritizes the collective interests of Washington State.
