Celebration of Life to be Tue., July 10 at Camas Meadows Golf Course
VANCOUVER — On Tue., July 3, 2018, Conan H. Elliott, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away at the age of 72 years surrounded by family.
Conan will be forever remembered by his wife of 38 years, Mary Lynn and his son Brian (Lisa), daughters Stephanie, Wendy (Mike), Missy (Chinmay), grandchildren Ryan, Haley, Shon, Jenn, Kori, Brady, Dylan, Izzy, Diviya and great grandchildren Myah, Nova, Weston, Harper, Tiara, Leyla and Aaliyah.
Conan was a beloved member of the Pacific Northwest golf community. During his illustrious 40-year career as a golf pro he coached over 70 students to major college scholarships and had over 20 state champions. Many knew him as the co-host of the longest running radio golf show in the country, “Teeing it up with Tom Hewitt and Conan Elliott”. He taught golf to all ages, but his heart belonged with not only coaching juniors, but teaching them how to be decent, honest, and productive members of society. He genuinely cared and loved each one of his students and their families.
Conan was an avid sportsman who enjoyed watching sports of every kind, but loyal to Ohio State Buckeyes football above all. Fly fishing along the Deschutes with his buddies or his trusty chocolate lab sidekick, Buckeye, was one of his favorite hobbies. “Papa” was commonly heard around his home as it was always filled with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. More than anything, Conan loved and enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. Conan was larger than life and touched everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.
Conan’s Celebration of Life will be at Camas Meadows Golf Course on Tue., July 10 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Children’s Cancer Association.
