National Weather Service Portland confirmed the severe weather moved across north Battle Ground
The National Weather Service Portland office confirmed on Twitter that a “weak’’ tornado moved through Battle Ground Monday (Sept. 27) evening.
“Multiple videos & doppler radar indicate a weak tornado moved across north Battle Ground earlier this evening,’’ stated the NWS message. “Two NWS meteorologists will conduct a storm survey Tuesday morning & determine path length, path width & the strength of the tornado.’’
As of Wednesday afternoon, the NWS hasn’t offered more information.
Clark County Today shared a video from Paul Damico, which caught some of severe weather.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for the time period of 7:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. Monday evening. It included the warning of possible winds up to 60 mph and penny sized hail.
