Community rallies in support of fallen officer by walking or running a mile at Hudson’s Bay High School
Run. Walk. Or a little of both.
However you want to do it, just get up and get going in honor of Donald Sahota, the Vancouver police officer who died Saturday.
That was the message from Jason Hattrick of Kindness 911.

Go the distance, meet others in the community, and share a time of reflection. That was the mission of the Honor Mile.
More than 100 people showed up on a cool Friday night at Hudson’s Bay High School, walking or running around the track. Some police officers – from Vancouver and Portland – ran or walked in full uniform.
One mile “to honor a great man and public servant and provide an opportunity for a community to support each other,” Hattrick wrote on his Facebook page to promote the event. “This is not a long event but a purposeful one.”
