VIDEO: Community gathers for Back The Blue Rally in memory of Sergeant Jeremy Brown

Event included a vehicle procession through Vancouver


Members‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌community‌ ‌gathered‌ ‌Thursday‌ ‌evening‌ ‌for‌ ‌a‌ ‌Back‌ ‌The‌ ‌Blue‌ ‌Rally‌ ‌in‌ ‌memory‌ ‌of‌ ‌Clark‌ ‌County‌ ‌Sheriff’s‌ ‌Office‌ ‌Sergeant‌ ‌Jeremy‌ ‌Brown,‌ ‌who‌ ‌was‌ ‌shot‌ ‌and‌ ‌killed‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌line‌ ‌of‌ ‌duty‌ ‌last‌ ‌Friday‌ ‌(July‌ ‌23).‌ ‌

The‌ ‌event‌ ‌was‌ ‌organized‌ ‌by‌ ‌area‌ ‌resident‌ ‌Jake‌ ‌Beals.‌ ‌It‌ ‌began‌ ‌at‌ ‌about‌ ‌6‌ ‌p.m.‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ parking‌ ‌lot‌ ‌of‌ ‌Living‌ ‌Hope‌ ‌Church‌ ‌in‌ ‌Vancouver.‌ ‌A‌ ‌fundraising‌ ‌raffle‌ ‌was‌ ‌held‌ ‌with‌ ‌gift‌ ‌cards‌ ‌from‌ ‌Sportsman’s‌ ‌Warehouse,‌ ‌Dutch‌ ‌Bros.,‌ ‌Goldie’s‌ ‌BBQ‌ ‌and‌ ‌The‌ ‌Smokin’‌ ‌Oak‌ ‌Barbeque‌ ‌Restaurant.‌ ‌All‌ ‌proceeds‌ ‌are‌ ‌being‌ ‌donated‌ ‌to‌ ‌Jeremy‌ ‌Brown’s‌ ‌family‌ ‌through‌ ‌IQ‌ ‌Credit‌ ‌
Union.‌ ‌ ‌

Vancouver‌ ‌Police‌ ‌Department‌ ‌Corporal‌ ‌Rey‌ ‌Reynolds‌ ‌prayed‌ ‌over‌ ‌the‌ ‌event‌ ‌and‌ ‌for‌ ‌the‌ ‌Brown‌ ‌family.‌ ‌About‌ ‌7‌ ‌p.m.,‌ ‌a‌ ‌vehicle‌ ‌procession‌ ‌including‌ ‌members‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌Patriot‌ ‌Guard‌ ‌Riders,‌ ‌vehicles‌ ‌with‌ ‌flags‌ ‌and‌ ‌tow‌ ‌trucks‌ ‌from‌ ‌area‌ ‌companies‌ ‌followed‌ ‌a‌ ‌route‌ ‌through‌ ‌Vancouver‌ ‌that‌ ‌followed ‌westbound‌ ‌on‌ ‌SR‌ ‌500,‌ ‌on‌ ‌to Padden‌ ‌Parkway,‌ ‌Highway‌ ‌99,‌ ‌the‌ ‌roundabout‌ ‌at‌ ‌Esther‌ ‌St.‌ ‌and‌ ‌ended ‌at‌ ‌the‌ ‌Clark‌ ‌County‌ ‌Courthouse‌ ‌where‌ ‌participants parked and gathered to remember Brown.
